Adding a Venue or Event

Add a new event or venue to your page at any time!
HINT: Events will be adding to the account your currently on. Check the name of the account at the top right of the screen.

Event Manager for your page

Adding an Event Managers links that users account to your page. No need to give them your login details. The admin can add or remove a person at any time. The event manager will be able to add or edit events and venue space for that page.

Adding your next event to DiscoverYourEvent.com is easy. Just click the plus button found at the top right side of the screen, then select Create an Event.
HINT: The event will be added to the account you are currently on.

See what account you are on by looking at the top right side of the screen. Your name will show when your on your personal account. If you are on one of your pages its name will show up instead.
Looking to switch accounts? Click the account name to see the list of pages or switch back to personal.

Check Account

Your events will be added to the account your currently on. The name of the account will be at top right of the screen. When filling out your event details the name of the account will also be at the top of the page above Step 1.

Add Venue

Just click the plus button found at the top right side of the screen and choose Add a Venue.
HINT: You cannot add venue space to your personal account only to your pages.

If you're on your personal account and you click Add a Venue you will be asked to select which one you would like to add the venue space too. If your already on your page you'll be taken directly to Add a Venue page.

You can confirm which page your venue will be added to by looking at the name of the account at the top right of the screen. When filling out your venue details the name of the account will also be at the top of the page above Step 1.

Don't have an account? Not to worry. You can still DISCOVER everything that is happening by using the search found on the main page of DiscoverYourEvent.com

Why register for an account?

Having an account gives you access to all the same events, so why should you get one?
Your account will allow you to save events to your calendar. Just click the Attend button when you find an event. You'll stay up-to-date with changes to the event and be notified* when your event is ready to take place.

Follow your favourite host

As a registered user you can follow specific venue, business or school that hosts events you want to know about. You will be notified* every time they add a new event. You can search for pages by going to the Following page found in the menu on the left.

Book a Venue

When you find the venue you want, just click the Contact Venue button or fill out your details on the venue page. Your message will be sent directly to the venue. They will get in touch with you to answer any question or help you book their space.

You'll have access to more filters to narrow down your search results and Discover the space you want. You can search for all types of venue space.

Do you still have questions?

Once you are done adding all the details for your upcoming event or venue you will see a custom link for your newly created event or venue at the bottom of the page. You can share this link with anyone, anywhere. You may also go to your event or venue page where you will see, share this event/venue with friends, below your event or venue details. There you can choose how you would like to share the event or venue. You can choose to share it on Facebook, Facebook Chat, Twitter, by email, or choose to copy the URL and share it with anyone, anywhere. If you are on a mobile device you will also see an option to share the event by text message.


Please note that if you have decided to make your event private, it will not show up when searching for an event on the website, but if you share the URL link with people they will have access to your event details unless you decide to add a password.


When you have found the event or venue you wish to share, you will see, share this event/venue with friends, below the event or venue details on the page. There you can choose how you would like to share the event or venue. You can choose to share it on Facebook, Facebook Chat, Twitter, by email, or choose to copy the URL and share it with anyone, anywhere. If you are on a mobile device you will also see an option to share the event by text message.


Your personal account keeps track of the events you are planning to attend and displays them in the calendar found on the events search page. You can also go to Events in the menu on the left side. Here you will be able to view all your upcoming events, under the Events Your Attending tab. You will also be able to see your past events, events you planned to attend, but were cancelled and view your calendar.


One Time Event: An event that happens once. It may occur on one day or take place over more than one day. You can choose up to five days, then pick the start and end times for each day.


Reoccuring Event: An event that usually takes place continually. Select the first day your event will take place and the last day your event will take place. Then choose how your event happens daily, weekly or monthly.


Daily Event: Your event takes place every day of the week. Choose the same time every day, a different time for the weekends or a different time every day. You can also use this option if your event is occurring over more then 5 days.


Weekly Event: Your event takes place one or more days each week. Choose which day(s) it will occur one, the start and end time.


Monthly Event: Your event takes place once a month. Choose the first day of the month, in the first week, the second week, the third week, fourth week or last week on the month. Pick the day of the week, start time and the end time for your event. You can also select the specific date, each month that your event occurs, the start and the end time.
